TIP - INLET
Since we have installed the filter behind the back of the background, the water must be transported from the front of the aquarium to the back. The easiest way to do this is to drill a hole (on some Back to Nature models this has already been done) and place a grill in the hole (see "Installation Amazonas-Rock") however, it is also possible to use items other than a grill (see below).

Normally, one hole (diameter approx. 60 mm) will suffice, however if the aquarium is particularly dirty and/or there are many plants with thin leaves in the aquarium, it may be necessary to create two water inlets. The same applies to a situation with an aquarium equipped with two powerful pumps (or one extremely powerful pump) that pumps the water back to the front of the aquarium.

Some examples of what you can use to cover the water inlet:

1. Cut off a piece of filter foam sheet (5 cm thick) with a slightly larger diameter than that of the hole for the water inlet. Make sure it fits in the hole.

2. Cover one side with silicon

3. so that the side is completely covered with silicon.

4. and then cover it with peat.

5. Finished.

6. Inserted in the hole for the water inlet.

7. An alternative to filter foam sheets is mosquito netting that you attach to the back of the background with tacks.

8. and then glue using silicone.

9. The sides of the hole are coloured black using a felt pen.
